LEVENSEAT / MELDGAARD FURNACE ASH RECYCLING PLANT
Levenseat and Danish firm Meldgaard has teamed up to provide a solution to a huge problem the left overs from furnaces the process includes metal and aggregate extraction from incinerator bottom ash. The metals are all recycled and the aggregates are a low carbon, low cost alternative to type 1 and 6f5. Meldgaard are worldwide and are in a partnership with levenseat in Scotland. The process recovers both ferrous and non ferrous metals - a sand and a 0-60mm type 1 which can be used as base and groundfill under a low permeability surface.
